From blog.backendmedia.com: So the php|tropics conference is officially over, however I am staying a bit longer as I had planned with Marcus Boerger. So I am sitting in the lobby right now, feeling quite relaxed and ready to blog about the previous days. The trip down here went fairly smooth although I was routed via Charlotte from Florida to get to Cancun which seems like needless airtime. So it goes.

I had three sessions during the conference. Unfortunately I always had sessions at the start or at the end of the day. This also meant that unlike all other sessions my PEAR talk had only an hour instead of an hour and a half. [...] The other two talks on database abstraction and PEAR::LiveUser went much better and I am quite confident the audience was able to pick up a few useful things. Marco at least mentioned that the database abstraction talks got good feedback.
