Sebastian Bergmann has posted the slides from his latest talk over on his website today:

My second presentation, "PHP 5 - The Year After", is over. I chose PHPUnit2, Phing, Creole, and Propel as examples for projects that leverage the new language features introduced in PHP 5. These examples also show that with PHP 5 it is possible to take ideas from the Java world and implement them in PHP. The presentation material I used can be found here.

In his presentation, he goes back to visit PHP3 and 4 to show how lacking they were in certain areas. Thankfully, though, PHP5 is more than happy to fill in the gaps. From there, he details the projects mentioned above, including how they use some of the more advanced features of PHP5.
