Zend:
Webcast Presentation - PHP Rocks! (Music Artists)
Apr 25, 2005 @ 12:15:30

Zend is putting on a big event this coming Thursday (April 28th, 2005) with a webcast titled "PHP Rocks! How Signatures Network Builds Highly Scalable Web Sites for Major Music Artists".

Signatures Network is the music industry's premiere entertainment licensing and merchandising company, holding the merchandising and marketing rights to more than 125 top music artists and entertainment properties including Ozzy Osbourne, Madonna, The Beatles, Britney Spears, U2, KISS, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira among many others. One of Signature Network's core businesses is building and hosting of artist Web Sites. Signatures also builds and hosts fan sites, e-commerce sites, and VIP ticketing on its industry-leading, highly scalable, technology platform. This platform was built and deployed using PHP and Zend Platform. In this WebCast, Signatures' VP Django Bayless will discuss how PHP was used to build these sites, and will share advise on using PHP to build high-volume, scalable Web applications.

Granted, I'm sure there will be a lot of Zend propaganda in there, but some of it might be interesting to hear - especially how they conquerred some of the large-scale applications issues with their customer's site hosting needs.

To attend the webcast, ">head on over to their signup form and enter your info. The webcast will take place on April 28th at 9am PDT, 12 noon EDT, 16:00 GMT. And the best part - it's a free event, so you have no excuse not to attend!
