It seems that there will always be this kind of rivalry in the online world, even if they are slightly different tools (for slightly different jobs). Obviously, I'm biased towards PHP, but there are some features mentioned in some of the links about ASP that would be nice to see in the future of PHP such as well-developed multi-language support. (I know there is a movement for some of this in PHP, but it's still in its early stages...). No matter what, though, this kind of competition is a good thing - it drives developers to create bigger and better systems, developing their language of choice even further...
