In a competition from the folks over on the Midgard CMS project, they're looking for the next great MidCOM authoring interface redesign. The winner will recieve a brand new iPod mini.
Nemein and the Midgard Community have announced a contest to redesign the MidCOM authoring interface (AIS). The winner of the contest will receive an iPod Mini portable music player.
The Authoring Interface System is the main editing and administrative interface seen by users of Midgard CMS. While several accessibility and usability improvements have been made, the current AIS interface looks quite boring and industrial.
Some of the rules are as follows:
- must be standards-compliant
- needs to include the following elements: title bar, directory's toolbar, notice area, navigation bar, document's toolbar, and a content area
- HTML and CSS rules of the existing MidCOM AIS can be a good starting point, but the design should not be limited to only tweaking them
- anyone can enter - as many times as they would like
- the deadline for the entries is March 31st 2005
- all entries must be licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License
