In a much anticipated release, the team working on PostgeSQL have released their latest version of their popular database software - PostgreSQL 8.0.

Some of the main highlights of the new features availible for this new editon include: a win32 native server, savepoints (steps in a transaction), point-in-time recovery (continuous backups), tablespaces, improved buffer management, and more.
