In an announcement over on Marco Tabini's weblog today, he lets the community know about a new mailing list that he's started as a part of his own New Year's resolutions - the [phpsec] mailing list, a sublic security issue list devoted to keeping you and your scritps the safest possible.
php|a has just launched its [phpsec] mailing list. The list is moderated to ensure the highest signal/noise ratio and we have a very strict set of guidelines to ensure that only the appropriate security-related issues are discussed on it. Commercial messages, unless they are announcements of new security-related products (or small promotional items from our sponsors added after the signature line) are also off-limits, regardless of whether they are spam or not, as are all messages that are off-topics, offensive or otherwise inappropriate. In short, we want this list to be the reference point for everyone who runs a PHP site or writes PHP software.
To subscribe (or get more information about it), just head on over to their site and get the scoop...
