New from PHP Magazine today:
For those of you who missed out on Issue # 27 of the PHPBarnstormer, released on Wednesday last week, here's a gentle reminder. Issue # 27 includes a comprehensive round up of news from the PHP, PEAR, and PECL world. In this Issue you will also find a mention of the latest PEAR and PECL packages released in the week gone by. The package in focus this week is Payment_Process, a generic payment processing class. The package currently supports interfaces to Authorize.net, Trust Commerce, Transfirst (DPIlink), Linkpoint, and a Paypal driver is in the works. Payment_Process can work with both credit card payments as well as eChecks. Don't forget to check out Aaron's example snippet that uses Authorize.net to check a credit card payment.
Some of the PEAR/PECL packages released this past week include: Text_Figlet-0.8.0 (beta), event-0.9 (beta), and Net_Socket-1.0.4 (stable).
