New from PHP.net today, there's the announcement of the latest PHP release candidate - PHP 5.0.3RC1.

PHP 5.0.3RC1 has been released for testing. This is the first release candidate and should have a very low number of problems and/or bugs. Nevertheless, please download and test it as much as possible on real-life applications to uncover any remaining issues.

To help them test the new release: Please run the tests from our test framework. You can do this by typing make test after you compiled PHP with make. When make test finished running tests, and if there are any failed tests, the script asks to send the logs to the PHP QA mailinglist.

So, get over and get testing to help out the cause and get an updated version of PHP 5 for public consumption...
