Looking for Book Authors

Looking to get involved in writing a PHP book? Check out what Marco Tabini's weblog has to say:

As you may have heard, we are moving into the world of book publishing. Just as php|architect is not a traditional magazine, however, we are also approaching the book publishing business in a slightly unorthodox way.

Rather than coming out with the 500-page monsters you often see at bookstores, our aim is to publish smaller books - around 250-300 pages in most cases - that are, however, focused on a very specific subject. Our goal is to attract readers by giving them in a book what php|a has been giving them in a magazine: in-depth coverage.

There are three categories that they're still lacking in: a PHP Administrator's Manual, Practical PHP Development, and Object-Oriented PHP. Naturally, these are only the books we *know* we're looking for. I'm sure that there are many, in addition to the 12-15 we plan to publish in 2005, that we haven't even thought about.

So, if you're looking to get involved and want to know more about how you can get on the list, check out the rest of this entry on the weblog for the details...
