This is a followup on Marco Tablini's discussion of the PHP programmer availablity and my earlier attempt at defining enterprise PHP.
Jeff Moore writes about a little research that he did over on monster.com concerning Java positions versus PHP positions (and their requirements).
Most of the results shouldn't surprise the coders out there that have been working with PHP for a while now (less CS degrees required, more focus on design/CSS, and that MySQL dominates in the PHP world).
The PHP Jobs had 33 different skill requirements [...] and the Java Jobs had 70 different skill requirements - there was far more variance for Java web developers.
