Today a new Editor was added to the site. PHP Designer 2005 (V2.0.0) has been developed by Michael Pham of MP Software and it's looking very promising.
I took a test run of this today and can report that it's a very fast, stable PHP IDE and has many features you would expect. Some notable things to note are it's free for personal and commercial use and does just about everything the expensive Editors do. It does have one thing missing in this release however, a debugger.

It's always good to see another freeware PHP editor come onto the scene. Sure, there are a lot out there that cost a bit and have some of the "cooler" features, but what about the crowd that just wants a nice, clean, easy-to-use editor that doesn't cost them a thing. Personally, I think that this editor hits that audience right on the nose.
