PHPMac:
Compiling Apache 2 and PHP 5
Jul 30, 2004 @ 12:18:44

For all of the Mac users out there, there's a new posting from PHPMac.com to help you get Apache 2.0.50 and PHP 5 compiled on your machine.

Overall, this install process doesn't look much different than the normal unix install and, ideally, there shouldn't be any hiccups with your installation either. By this time, the installs for both of these pieces of software has been refined to the point that once you've done it once - you're set. Things don't change too much. The only "gotcha" that they mention is the lack of the Apple Developers' Tools. This contains the gcc compiler to help you compile and install your source.
