According to a news submission from Ben Ramsey:
Since the release of a stable PHP 5, interest in PHP-GTK has increased, particularly interest in PHP-GTK 2, as of yet unreleased but, when released, will be work with PHP 5. The new features in the Zend Engine 2 have prompted Andrei Zmievski to scrap the initial ZE2 port of PHP-GTK 2, which was based off of version 1.0.0, and proceed to rewrite the entire extension from the ground up, basing it on GTK+ 2.4.
[As of yet, I have no permalink to an article at the PHP-GTK Web site, but I should be implementing something into the site soon that will allow for permalinks to individual stories. As for now, this story, and other recent posts, maybe found at http://gtk.php.net]
So, keep your eye out for this new version - leaner, cleaner, and more advanced than ever before...
