Yesterday, Andrei, the PHP-GTK project leader, sent a "Letter to the Community" about the future and the needed help for the project. In this letter, he has summarized his objectives and the needs of the community. If you're looking to help out, docs, website, or anything, please read the message!

I have spoken to Andrei personally on IRC and he has stated that he will address the possibility of PHP-GTK 2 in the very near future. So if you're waiting for some more activity, be prepared, cause it's coming!

In my opinion, PHP-GTK is still one of the least used, most powerful tools that PHP has to offer. And, as the system behind the functions gets more and more powerful, I think more people will come to realized its full potential...
