There's a new posting on Marco Tabini's weblog today that just might interest anyone out there looking at the Zend Certification recently announced.

As you may know - if you haven't been sidetracked by claims that Andi and Zeev invented the Diesel engine - Zend recently launched a PHP certification program. The launch has been very low-key, presumably because the real splash will be made at OSCON.

Still, the cat's out of the bag, and lots of people have been writing me and asking for some more information, so here are a few pointers that will (hopefully) be of assistance.

Some of the items mentioned include: "What is this certification thing anyway?", "Why should I care?", "What is the exam like?", and "Do I need to know anything particular (other than PHP) to pass?".
