In this issue of PHPBarnstormer, Aaron has some updates from his visit to LinuxTag, news from the PHP mailing list, the new PEAR, PECL package releases, and a lot more. The package in focus this week is Spreadsheet_Excel_Writer

As mentioned, there is a bit of talk about the LinuxTag conference and some of the highlights that were there (Introducing PECL: The official PHP extension repository, Enterprise PHP: Whitepaper, Large Scale PHP, etc.) Also, there is a note about the LAMP area at the conference and a bit of protesting against the "Software Patents laws".
