With this week's PHP Weekly Summary, Zend covers the best of the best from the previous week - including quite a bit of discussion.
As mentioned, several topics were discussed this past week including: the possibility of a dangerous outcome when using the alloca function, changes that have been made to addslashes and strspn/strcspn, a renewed interest in a previous major discussion concerning the use of NULL as a class type, a new enhancement on the CVS site (mod_rewrite) that allows getting around to be easier, a flame thread that began as a discussion of the PHP 5 release date and ended up being more about Zend/PHP.net not running the upcoming PHP 5. Also noted were a discussion about a short form to throw exceptions, a seeming "overload" of array creation, and, last but not least, a discussed renaming for an extension and the damage it could cause.
There are a few other items mentioned from this past week, but you'll have to go over and check those out yourself...
