New from PHP Magazine today is the latest edition of their weekly summary - PHPBarnstormer, Issue #3.
Of course, this issue covers an update on the PHP 5 front - including the rumors of the impending release. The story seems to be that there will be a final release sometime in the first week of July. Also mentioned, is an answer from Rasmus himself on a why is it not a good idea to run PHP with Apache 2 question, but you'll have to read to find out the answer.
Also, in PEAR and PECL news, there were quite a few updates made to packages this past week, including PHP_Beautifier, HTML_Form, Net_URL, and the pdflib. And, in the spotlight this week is the PEAR package Var_Dump - providing a more extensive version of the PHP internal var_dump function.
