There is just a quick note posted over on Marco Tabini's weblog talking about the php|works conference coming up.
In case you've missed, we've finally announced php|works 2004, a three-day conference that will be held in Toronto on September 22, 23 and 24. The conference will centre around two important topics: Pure PHP Technology and the role of PHP in the enterprise, as well as the business of open-source software.
PHP 5 will be out (one hopes) by this fall - and it's time that we all get down to figuring out what it can do for us. Not all the sessions will be about PHP 5 - in fact, most of them will deal with both versions of PHP, since, after all, we are likely to continue using PHP 4 for a while. Still, expect to improve your PHP 4 skills while learning how they can be amplified in a PHP 5 setting.
There will also be a more business-targeted approach for those more interested in that versus getting down and dirty with the code...
