From Fractured Realities today there is a new posting that talks about what Davey Shafik thinks is one of the best attributes of the PHP community - "PHP is like a rabid wolverine".

I have finally realised what I love about the PHP community...I have noticed a few times recently, that when somebody comes up with a really good idea, everybody sinks their teeth in to it with gusto to realise the idea in next to no time - with idea to reality times faster than any company could ever hope to have.

Two of these ideas lately, are SQLite and PDO (the brain childs of Wez Furlong and Marcus Borger respectively)

I'd have to agree with him here - projects come and projects go, but when they hit the community and they show any kind of promise, coders just attack it full force...
