Just a quick note from PHP Magazine this morning on the subject of the upcoming PHP 5 RC3RC1.

It seems like PHP RC3RC1 brought up some bugs which are delaying the next Release Candidate. The problems have to do with some pesky defines which brake the build process on some operating systems. Thanks to Aaron for the link.
