With the latest updates from the International PHP Conference, Filip de Waard has posted his "Day 3" summary.

This was the last day of the conference, and it was chock full of PHP goodness including the much-awaited PIMP talk (PIMP is an image library that promises to make working with images a lot easier). From what I've seen it's already quite mature and Pierre is trying to get it stable as soon as possible. I expect that we will be able to give the PIMP a try shortly after PHP 5 is released.

Other speeches that he attended were Derick Rethans' Breaking your Website with moving to PHP 5 (slides), and, of course, to round things out - the "PHP Inside Out" talk given by Thies Arntzen and Sterling Hughes, a frank discussion of how the Zend compiler really handles your PHP code.
