This year's International PHP Conference has begun in Amsterdam today, gathering programmers from around the world to meet, greet, and learn from each other.

The folks over at PHP Magazine also have a new article detailing some of the speakers and their topics for the first day including: "XML in PHP5 - a complete overview and introduction" and "PEAR - Not just a fleshy pome". With lots of other topics ahead, it looks like it's going to be quite a conference.

During this event, there will be two "reporters" in the field, giving the scoop on just what's going on - in conjunction with PHP Magazine Sebastian Bergmann will be providing his take on the situation and speakers. Also, an independant reporter, Filip de Waard, will share his side of the story on his own site with his final result distributed via NewsForge by the end of the week.
