Ever feel like writing a tutorial or article and getting a little cash for the effort? Then this information might be just what you're looking for.

Each month we are given away for the best article or tutorial we receive which is of good enough quality to publish on the site. The rules are quite simple - PHP or MySQL must be the main topic, if it's a tutorial it should be aimed at either beginners, intermediate or advance readers. Must be supplied in plain HTML with no CSS or javascript, the use of graphics is fine. Must be your own work, but if using parts of anyone elses work (in quotes etc.) you must give credit where due.

You should also note that all articles submitted are subject to appear on the site regardless of winning. So by submitting, you are given us permission to publish your work.

Personally, I like this approach more than some other sites have done in the past. Asking for free content from users/readers is nice, but compensating them for the works that they produce is even better. Now, granted, there is only one prize awardrd each month, but that also can give that little extra encouragement to write the best tutorial you can...
