In an effort to create a listing of PHP User Groups around the world, PHPClasses.org has started this page to serve as a record.

You can submit your group, giving a link to allow other users in your area to locate your group. The city it is based in is also included so that you can find the closest match.

It's a nice idea to have a listing like this, but I could see somethng with so much more going for it - maybe something with a login for each group, allowing them to have calendars for their group, maybe even hosting small pages for each. It would be very nice as well to, based on the address entered, show other PHP developers in your area.

Hmm...what do you all think of the idea? Would you use it were it created?
