New from DynamicWebPages.de this morning are the latest PHP Usage Statistics, and there's an interesting twist in the results for last month.

According to this graph, the number of domains currently using PHP (according to Netcraft and E-Soft) has gone down by about 15,000 this past month, but the IP addresses responding with positive results for PHP has moved up by about 5,000.

Though this seems like a negative shift for the PHP community, I personally believe that the reason for these drops is the imminent release of PHP5. People are getting ready for the upgrade, and are anxiously awaiting their first taste of this new distribution. Besides, I personally pay more attention to the IP address usage statistics anwyway...
