With all the decline in funding around the internet these days, it's nice to hear a success story, especially when it relates to one of the largest PHP companies in the community.
PHP developer Zend Technologies has just raised $6 million, and is still keeping its money raising options, as well as its code, open. According to Globes Online, Zend has recieved a sizeable chunk of financing from a venture capital fund over in Israel - Index Ventures. Their first goal? To keep the code open source as long as possible and then to provide the quality service and functionality that their customers need.
It's nice to know that Zend isn't going anywhere anytime soon, which, of course, means that PHP will keep going just as strong as well...
