With a dramatic change to their look and feel of the site, DotGeek.org also has some new features/news that will interest a lot of people out there.

With the new look has come new sections for the site, including a the "guru's column" on the topic of PHP & PostgreSQL. There are already a few pieces there, including topics on Moving from MySQL to PostgreSQL and PHP/PostgreSQL: A Winning Team Interacting.

One of the most major changes, however, was the introduction of free PHP5 hosting for developers out there. Dotgeek is providing this service free with no "catch". We do not offer other paid hosting plans therefore we are not providing you with a service with a financially driven mindset. That said, you are free to contribute with a link, telling your friends, or helping out in the forums.

Oh, and for those wondering what happened to the certification program DotGeek was offering, it seems that things took a bit of a bad turn in the idea...
