Looking back on this past week, Zend has their latest PHP Weekly Summary for the week of March 18th, 2004.
Included in this week's edition are two fixes that are bringing us closer and closer to PHP5 - changes to the PHP5 source to correct some segfaulting and other critical bugs, and a patch created for those out there working with a 64-bit environment (to make things run nice and smooth).
There are also two other items mentioned having to do more with "administrative needs" of the community rather than code bugs/fixes. The first is a note about routing troubles (or hosting provider issues) with the bug database. Some people reported that the bug database was unreachable, while others didn't experience any problems. It seems that the routing to the hosting provider, where the box with the bugs is located, is not working correctly. Rasmus and others set up proxies for those who can't reach the bug database.
And, lastly, there's a cleanup effort on the CVS server to weed out those that are just using their CVS account for the @php.net email address and those actually helping the cause. So, if you're thinking about requesting one, just be sure to keep that in mind...
