In a submission from Shannon Weyrick from the Roadsend Staff, here's a note about their public beta of the Roadsend Compiler.
Roadsend is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a limited Beta Test program for the Roadsend Compiler for PHP.
The Roadsend Compiler for PHP generates standalone applications, libraries, and web applications from standard PHP source code. The compiler produces native machine code, not PHP byte code, so no interpreter is required. The code generated by the compiler is optimized to improve performance. [...]
We are now accepting applications to participate in the beta test. By taking part in the beta test you can help shape the compiler before its public release by suggesting improvements and reporting bugs.
Applicants should have a good working knowledge of PHP, a current base of code they can use for testing, and good bug reporting and communication skills.
For more information, or to apply for the program, please visit the Roadsend website at http://www.roadsend.com.
