In a new note passed along to me from MarkL this morning, there's some new information about the admin tool that the MySQL folks have created.

MySQL Administrator is a powerful new visual administration console that lets you easily administer your MySQL environment and gain better visibility into how your databases are operating. And now, it's availible for download!

This is the first alpha release. The source code and binaries for Linux and Microsoft Windows XP/2000/NT can be downloaded from: http://www.mysql.com/downloads/administrator.html

This powerful tool allows you access to the internals of your MySQL server, and even provides stats based on what queries are running and the load of the server. So, if you've been needing a good admin tool for the job, you really should check out the MySQL Administrator
