Looking over and summing up the past week is something that Zend has gotten good at, and this new Weekly Summary is no different.
Of the things that stood out last week, most of them listed here are talk on the discussion boards or new features/items created for PHP. The two new items listed are a mention of the benchmarking software that was developed by Sebastian Bergmann. It's a whole suite of PHP-centered apps to help you optimize your installation and code.
A few other things mentioned include: talk about finalizing PHP 5 (including a new release at the end of Nov. and a freeze after that so only bugfixes get through), also, more talk about integrating the "upload meter" into the PHP core was discussed. It was said that the only reason it was not pursued was lack of interest.
