In an update to a previous story, there's a new Wiki system set up for the discssion of his PHP Components idea.

The goal of this project is to develop a standard for the development of exchangable components that can be customized and plugged together using PHP Development Environments (PHP IDEs). He (John Lim of PHPEverywhere) goes on to talk about some of the components that would need to be created for this thing to work correctly. Of course, there are a lot more where this came from, but one step at a time.
