The folks over at DevArticles have posted a new contest that everyone out there, from beginners to PHP gurus should find a challenge.
There are two categories, Design and Coding. In each level, there's a "Beginner" and "Intermediate/Advanced" division so that things are a bit more fair. In the Design field, the beginner level project is a new concept layout for DevArtciles, and the Advanced is a redesign using a table-less layout. For the Coding competition, the Beginner level is the creation of a "shout-box" script, and the Advanced level is the development of an RSS feed to grab the latest headlines from DevArticles.
There will be 3 winners chosen for each category and each level within that category. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner in each (total of 12 winners). The prizes include a copy of the Komodo IDE, 12 months free hosting, an O'Reilly book, and a copy of Zend Studio 3.0. The deadline is Friday, October 17th, 2003, so if you'd like to enter, get on that development now!
