So, you've wanted to add that special something to your site - something that would allow people to order your CD or software directly from you without having to resort to sending a check or cash? Well, this new piece from DevArticles just might interest you.
In this new article, Quick E-Commerce with PHP and PayPal, the author shows you how to set up a form that connects to the PayPal scripts and will allow you to accept payments for your items (as long as you have a PayPal account, of course). Basically, the way the script works is this: they select the item(s) from your site that they want, you grab the total, they jump to a PayPal page for the actual credit card portion of it, enter it, and then they are returned to your site once the transaction is finished. They give you a good chunk of code and a database to help you keep track of the orders too.
Of course, there are tons of ways to do this same thing, but this is probably one of the easiest - if you don't mind the user jumping to the PayPal site for a little bit...
