No, granted, PHP probably isn't the best language to be coding this in, but it's a very interesting piece to read over. It explains some of the basics of a neural network, and then quickly moves into how you can create a neural net of your very own. The rules and layers that need to be built are pretty high-level, but they can be pretty effective. The article then moves towards the training aspect, teaching your network.

There's a lot of higher-level talk going on here (as can be expected), but they do provide a lot of outside links to information about these networks. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the link that they reference for the download of the archive of the sample files...
