Also new this morning is the latest PHP Weekly Summary from Zend detailing the major (and a few minor) events from this past week.

Of course, one of the major announcements was the release of the PHP 4.3.3 RC2 candidate for public consumption. Apparently, this release should be "almost bug free", so 4.3.3 should be right on its heels.

Some other issues that are mentioned are a new Indonesian manual translation that's in the works, a new "Tidy" extension for PHP (that fixes non-standard HTML quickly and easily) that is in the works and soon to be released.

There are also a few smaller issues/bugs mentioned, such as a few expat compile warnings, a memory leak problem with virtual_realpath() that was patched, and some libtool optimizations for a speed jump on Linux and BSD systems using a GCC compiler.
