Over on another weblog this morning, there's a little piece that gives PHP and Java a bright future together.

In the beginning PHP was designed as scripting language used to develop Web based applications. Meanwhile, Sun's Java has a totally different story. (But) there are few ways that the developers could use to bridge the two worlds. As time was passing, people from Sun and Zend became more aware of this situation and they realized that they can make things better. So, PHP 5 will define PHP as more seriously object-oriented language and make it closer to the Java world.

Yes, the future looks good for PHP and Java getting to be closer friends, and the possibilities are endless where these two meet. I mean, look at what happened when PHP pushed forward and added MySQL support to the mix...
