Of course, we need to start the week off right this time, and Zend is there to help us out with their latest PHP Weekly Summary.
This past week, there was the announcement about the next release candidate for PHP (4.3.3RC 2) being, hopefully, sometime next week. On top of that, discussion has been started on whether to create a "second beta" for the PHP 5 codeset. I looks like everyone is on board for it, but the release might be as long as a month away at this point.
There have been a few other fixes/suggestions this past week as well, including the suggestion to disable the "@" operator for error suppression, some OCI8 fixes for the different types of LOB, as well as some pretty major bugs in the PHP5 OOP coding that can cause pretty nasty crashes in your scripts (both have been corrected and will be changed in the upcoming beta for PHP 5).
