If you'll remember a while back, Zend had a survey that they posted about the usage of PHP on the internet. Well, those results are in, and there are some surprising results.
It seems that, according to these results, there are more PHP developers out there that have "just started" with the language than anyone else. In fact, the highest ranking was in the "2-5 years" category. Also, I find it interesting that, in light of all of the "big names" in databases that are out there, MySQL is the leader in the official organization usage area (Take that, Oracle).
Oddly enough, one of the things that people most said that the PHP community was lacking most was a "certification program". Does a piece of paper really mean that much?
Thanks to php|architect for the pointer to these results...
