In their latest PHP Weekly Summary for this past week, Zend has posted a few of the more well known happenings from the past week, both in the source and in the mailing lists.

One of the main things mentioned are the nominees for the ActiveState Awards for this year. The nominees include: Monte Ohrt, Paul S. Owen, Stanislav Malyshev, Stig Bakken, and Wez Furlong. For more information, or to vote on your favorite, see the ActiveState Awards page.

Also, on an interesting note (and one that I see questions about at least once a week), there is a group that has implemented a PHP upload meter into the source. They're currently working on getting it integrated into PHP 4.3.2, and it should be released soon...until then, check out their site for more information.
