If you'll remember a while back, there was the first part of the DevShed article covering using the patUser scripts to authenticate users on your site. Well, this morning, they continue that series with part 2.
In this new article, they show you how to use the system to quickly create scripts to view, add, edit and delete users (and user attributes) from your database. The patUser system supports all of these features, and makes creating these scripts a simple task.
It's just another layer to go through to get to your database, but it can make your scripts a quick and easy task to throw together, especially when you can trust them enough to know what they're really doing. If you're going to go this route and use the patUser scripts, I'd suggest looking into them and figuring out how they all work. Who knows - you might even be able to hack them a little and get exactly what ypu need!
