Simple Dynamic Templating
May 02, 2003 @ 15:13:58

Well, this is my last day posting news for you before enygma comes back. I hope you've enjoyed this as much as I have. Today I found something that everyone wants at one time or another... dynamic webpages. DevArticles.com has a decent little article on doing just this. You can find it at http://www.devarticles.com/art/1/546. I also wrote an article about the same thing at EvilWalrus.com The article that I wrote can be found at http://www.evilwalrus.com/articles.php?aid=29. Between the two of these, you should be able to grasp the general concept.

"So what's the big deal about a website using dynamic pages?"
Well... let me tell you. Some people have a certian reason for doing it because they want to protect thier acual page names from being revealed to users. Others (like me) just think it's cool.
"So... wait a second, won't this effect how a search engine spiders my site?"
No... not really. Most of the time a spider follows links within the webpage and will show it just fine. You really don't need to worry at all about them.

Well that wraps that up. Thanks for putting up with me while enygma is gone. wave Until next time.
