Well, it looks like someone over on the Bath Computer Science Society has the right idea when it comes to teaching their students about all the alternatives to the Microsoft world. They have some "drop in" sessions dealing with PHP and MySQL planned regularly.
In addition to their thinking ahead, they also have some pretty good course notes that you might want to check out. There's only a few, but they might help anyone out there just getting started with PHP. Some of the topics include a wide range, everything from an intro to PHP to writing objects and classes.
It's always good to see a CS department adopting something like PHP as part of their offerings. Of course, the fact that they're offered Fridays from 1.15am to 3.15am worries me a little about attendence.
