So, you've come to this site, and are wondering "What they heck is this PHP thing, anyway? And how can it help me?" Well, since not everyone out there has a great idea of what PHP really is, I figured I'd post this link for anyone out there wanting to know more.

In this Intro To PHP from the Bath Computer Science Society, they cover just about everything a newbie needs to know - what it is, how it works, how to write some of it, and even connecting it to a MySQL database! It's a pretty good overview of all of what makes PHP tick, including some links at the end to help make things easier after you've learned everything you can from this intro.

So many times, especially around here, we get caught up in all of the "cool things" going on in the PHP world that sometimes we forget the "little people", those just starting out...
