PHPBuilder:
Xitami Makes Some New Friends
Mar 25, 2003 @ 13:26:29

From PHPBuilder.com this morning, there's a new piece for those out there that choose not to use the Apache web server for their scripts, and, instead, want to go with Xitami.

In Installing PHP under Xitami, they show you the step you'll need to take to get this great language of ours installed on your server under the Xitami Web Server. They start with a quick summary of how to install the actual web server itself, and then flow into installing PHP as a CGI under that. It's a pretty simple matter (as it is with Apache) to get it all working, and most users will only need to uncomment/add a few lines to their config files.

As much as I like Apache (and most of the online community, apparently), it's not the only one out there that can meet web serving needs. There's lots of others, including Xitami that can get the job done just as well...
