For everyone out there that's struggled with working with XML and PHP, there just might be hope coming in future versions - according to this post.

In his posting from the php.xml.dev PHP list, Sterling Hughes had a little something to day about the API that you might use in the future to talk XML with PHP. I have to admit, if it's going to be as easy as he makes it sound here, then sign me up and call me an XML believer. Being able to use PHP constructs to go through XML data without having to parse it uniquely would be a *huge* step.

XML and PHP stil have a long way to go, but maybe, with the help of big thinkers like Sterling, they can get a little closer to making it a bit more accessible for the legions of coders out there.
