Over on PHPBuilder.com this morning, there's a new review of yet another Wrox book - this time, it's Professional PHP4 Multimedia Programming

In this review, they talk about being a reference guide for the multimedia aspects of PHP. Giving installation instructions, detailed documentation, in-depth tutorials, and case studies, this book offers a plethora of information on using PHP with GD, ImageMagick, Ming, and PDFlib. It looks like a pretty favorable review - I might just have to check this one out.

I'm glad to see that writers (and publishing companies) are focusing more on the tasks that PHP can perform, and less on just the language itsef. General PHP books are great, and all, but there comes a time when the more "meat" the better in a book.
