Think you or your PHP project has what it takes, but just lacking that one thing that makes the world go 'round (money)? Well, the fine folks over at php|architect might be able to help you out.

As part of a community growth effort, they're offering a grant for two PHP projects that they think deserves it and has the most potential. On June 30, we will announce the assignments of two $1,000 grants to as many projects selected among those who will have entered into the program.

I think this is a great idea and I can't imagine the number of responses that they're going to get for this. Oh, and just to make it a bit more clear - the product doesn't have to be written in PHP, it just has to have a great influence on the community and be a good product.
